Beyond “Calibration”
Many gage calibration providers simply apply a correction factor to “calibrate.” But that factor is only part of the story. EMI Gage calibration services go above and beyond the services of most providers—and typically for a lot less money.
In addition to calibrating a gage to industry standards, our metrologists always check the entire system during a visit. That may include cleaning the system and making minor (sometimes major) corrections on site, so that the gage performs over its entire range. When we leave your facility, you’ll have a comprehesive evaluation of each system we certify.
Calibrate Many Brands in One Visit
Our metrologiests are experienced in most major brands of surface texture, form, contour, and roundness measurement instruments. In one visit we can calibrate and certify gages from multiple instrument manufacturers. You’ll see corellation between your gages, regardless of brand. It can be a huge cost savings versus scheduling calibration visits from every one of your gage manufacturers.
When our metrologiests finish, you can count on your system to provide accurate measurements throughout its range. We’ll even train your staff to operate and maintain the instrument for optimum performance.

Gage Repair
A measurement instrument that’s not working can shut down your entire production line. We can get your systems working, verified, and calibrated—fast.
EMI Gage specializes in field repairs for Taylor Hobson instruments.* Our field technicians can also evaluate most major brands of instruments and provide a path to getting them back on line. We can upgrade or replace older computers running legacy operating systems.
For more extensive repairs, our in-house refurbishment team can break down a gage in a clean, controlled environment. Once completed, we can transport and install the gage, providing calibration and certification of performance to original factory specifications.
Most important, we warranty parts and labor for our repairs and refurbished instruments, so you can be confident that they’ll continue to provide accurate data for years to come.

Instrument Relocation
Relocating a measurement instrument requires careful handling and attention to detail. Our technicians can evaluate your gage and results prior to disassembling the gage for transport. We then provide safe, secure transportation using our own vehicles with cushioned suspension. Once the gage is relocated, we’ll perform a calibration to ensure accuracy. You can count on our 30 years of relocation expertise to ensure your gage will run properly and measure reliably in its new home.
